My Heart Story
As a proud advocate for the 2023 American Heart Association Go Red for Women Campaign, I share my journey of living with congenital heart disease. As a nurse and a heart health warrior, my mission is to empower women to collaborate with their healthcare team, enabling them to take better care of themselves and enjoy a fulfilling quality of life!
My heart health journey will forever be a part of my healthcare advocacy!
I was born with a congenital heart condition known as Tetralogy of Fallot. This condition directly affects my pulmonary valve system and places significant strain on the right side of my heart. I underwent open-heart surgery at three months old, and again, at the age of 27. The recovery after my surgeries was challenging, and this experience has forever changed my life.
Over the years, I have spoken on many major platforms, including the American Heart Association, NBC Universal, and even Essence Magazine. My voice has reached thousands through my story!

I'd love to speak at Your Next Event!
